श्रीमाताजी जीवन एक संक्षिप्त परिचय

  श्रीमाँ का जन्म पैरिस में 21 फरवरी सन्  1878  को एक संभ्रांत   परिवार    में हुआ। उनके पिता मोरिस अल्फासा एक बहुत बड़े बैंकर और माता मातिल्दा एक सुशिक्षित महिला थीं। अल्फासा दम्पति के दो ही संतानें थीं ,   पुत्र का नाम था मतिओ जो बाद में अल्जीरिया व कांगो के गवर्नर हुए। बेटी का नाम था मीरा जो विश्व में श्रीमाँ या माता जी के नाम से एक आध्यात्मिक विभूति के रूप में विख्यात हुई। मीरा जैसा भारतीय नाम इसे निरा संयोग कहें या किसी आत्मा का चुनाव ?   यह परिवार कुछ वर्ष पूर्व मिस्र से आकर फ्रांस में बसा था।   श्रीमाँ ( मीरा ) जन्मजात योगी थीं। चार   वर्ष की आयु से ही इन्हें स्वाभाविक रूप से ध्यान लगता था। ध्यान के समय एक प्रज्वलित ज्योति इनके शिरोमंडल में प्रवेश करती और अद्वितीय शांति का अनुभव कराती। परिवार के लोग इनकी गंभीर मुखाकृति और ध्यानमग्नता को देखकर चिन्ता की स्थिति समझते थे लेकिन श्रीमाँ को धी...

A DECLARATION Sri Aurobindo withdrew from politics; and, in his Ashram, a most important rule is that one must abstain from all politics―not because Sri Aurobindo did not concern himself with the happenings of the world, but because politics, as it is practiced, is a low and ugly thing, wholly dominated by falsehood, deceit, injustice, misuse of power and violence; because to succeed in politics one has to cultivate in oneself hypocrisy, duplicity, and unscrupulous ambition.
